Not only do we make alcoholic beverages but we also make slushies for the kids. Have had it for about a month and we use it just about everyday. Great for entertaining, everyone wants to be the bartender. Bit pricey but its worth every penny. Not cheaply made, its heavy duty. Our family and friends enjoy it.

After weeks of looking at reviews on this machine, I finally decided to buy one. I was hesitant and didnt want this to be like the prom. Where its hyped up so much that nothing could live up to it. Well I must say that I am so happy that i made this purchase. The machine makes frozen drinks just as well as most resturaunts. I love the manual ice shaver button, because it allows me to make my drinks really slushy! I am a 27 yrs old and loves a good party and to entertain friends and family at my house just about every weekend. This machine makes life so much easier. Be mindful that you will have to play with some recipes a few times to get the consistency that you want. I just got it on July 8th 2011 and I have used it everynight since then. The hubby and I have had some amazing nights

I usually do not write feedbacks for the kitchen appliances because for me it is enough if they just work without any problems. But the Margaritaville DM1000 Frozen Concoction Maker I have bought for my mini-bar is not just a regular unit that is why I decided to share few thoughts how to use it and what the advantages I have noticed while applying it.
If you are interested in boring technical details, the Margaritaville DM1000 is the super-effective frozen concoction maker which elegantly shaves the ice for Margarita cocktails and also blends it up with the capacity of 32 ounces. The best thing all fans of Margaritas will appreciate is the automatically preprogrammed mixer for measuring the right proportions of ice with other Margarita’s components.
I liked this unit was shipped in a perfect condition. I installed it easily in my kitchen because it is not very large (15-2/3 by 11 and by 21 inches) and it is quite stable. It works without a terrible noise as I expected. The Margaritaville DM1000 maker produces sounds but not very irritating. Along with the manual and a recipe book I got a one-year warranty which is not bad for such unit. Plus the best advantage of buying this maker is that I can save money at purchasing very expensive and not always well-prepared Margaritas. I find the Margaritaville DM1000 more sufficient and money-saving as any other appliance in my kitchen.
I noticed that sometimes maker’s shaving blades are not sharp enough to slice smoothly. Luckily, the blades of the DM1000 produce flawless ice cubes, not lumps. This is a very important advantage if you got used to drink really good Margarita cocktails.

Despite the unit is perfect in producing ice, I recommend to load more ice into the machine than the manual offers because blending requires a lot of ice. I agree it is a bit inconvenient, but so far it is the only lack I found in the Margaritaville DM1000 maker.
The maker can be programmed to mix up to 3 drinks simultaneously. When you have a party this unit turns to be priceless. I liked the proportions are kept right in spite of the number o drinks the machine mixes. If you need to know one good reason why to buy this particular Margarita’s maker you should know it can mix few perfect cocktails at once.
To keep the ice within dry the machine has the separate water holding container with small holes. It means you don’t have to empty the container each time you are to make few drinks. The perfect solution, I think.
If you are worried how to clean the DM1000 maker, just use soapy water to wash all detachable parts like blade and mixer. Be careful when putting the parts back in one piece. It is better to use the manual during the first few times.
I also bought the special case for transferring the Margaritaville DM1000 because sometimes I need to bring it to my friends’ party. The cases are sold at Amazon’s as well, mine is solid and convenient enough to transport the unit in a car.
My rating is 10 from 10 points because the DM1000 produces really good drinks and shaves and blends ice not worse than any similar machine in a bar.
